地球環境を守ることが大きな課題となっている現代社会において、循環型のサスティナブルなモノづくりが求められています。「ネル」はスチール単一素材から成る、高さとサイズを選べるミーティングテーブルと好みに合わせてデザインを選べるカフェテーブルで構成されたテーブルシリーズです。製品がプラスチックを使用せず、スチールの単一素材だけでできているため、廃棄時に素材別にパーツを分別する必要が無く、製品をまるごと再資源化することが出来ます。梱包もプラスチックフリーにこだわり、全て紙からできた素材にしました。

スチールの加工性と剛性を生かし、多種のデザインと、他の素材では成しえない繊細かつ大胆なスタイリングを実現しています。ネルにはスチールを感じさせないディティールが随所に施されています。製品全ての接合部に対して鉄製品特有の溶接跡が表に現れない構造を追求し、すっきりとした外観を実現しています。また、ミーティングテーブルの天板の縁は板金のヘラ絞り加工によってシームレスなエッジを実現。スチールとは思えない、手当たりの優しい天板になっています。天板自体も中空構造とし、原材料の削減と大幅な軽量化に成功しています。薄いテーブルトップと好みに合わせて選べるベースが美しい佇まいを演出。シンプルなミーティングテーブルは空間に馴染み、アイコニックなカフェテーブルは空間のアクセントになります。

As protection of the global environment has become a major issue, there has been an increasing demand for recyclable and sustainable manufacturing. The “nel” series with its steel construction, includes meeting tables available in a variety of sizes and heights and a range of coffee table designs. The steel construction, with no plastics, makes the entire range 100% recyclable without disassembly . Being plastic free, it is delivered in cardboard and paper packaging.

Utilizing the workability and rigidity of steel, the range of designs are both delicate yet bold in a way that cannot be achieved through the use of other materials. “nel” to avoid the feeling of steel has subtle design details applied throughout. The entire range, with seamless welding, is visually appealing. The tabletop edge achieves this seamless feel through the sheet metal spinning process. The tabletop does not feel like steel to the touch. The hollow tabletop, significantly reduces the raw materials used and weight. The thin tabletop in combination with your desired base will create a beautiful appearance. The “nel” meeting table blends into any space while the coffee table is an accent piece.
